ARMDI:
Every day we are looking fearfully for the news from Israel hoping that everything there is quiet. Only too often we see pictures of twisted steel frames from what was left of commuter buses and bodies spread around. We also see ambulances and personnel from Magen David Adom (MDA) trying to offer whatever help is needed.

They are first on the scene of every disaster and are referred to as " Second Line of Defense". Among other things MDA provides 100% of the blood requirements of the IDF and 90% of the blood needs of Israel's hospitals. MDA is unique, strictly humanitarian, vital, non-sectarian and non-political. It is staffed mostly by volunteers. Your help for this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated. As the Talmud says "Whoever saves a life has saved the entire world". Contributions can be made to ARMDI (American Red Magen David for Israel) in care of George Blau 1656 Zenobia Street, Denver, CO 80204.

Urgent Appeal for Local Residents in Need [Aniyei Ircho]:

The Rov recently established a fund for local residents in dire straits, literally lacking the resources to put food on their table! These local people need assistance on a monthly basis. Please help with this very urgent need! Please make checks payable to Congregation Zera Abraham / Special Fund and forward to the Rov, Rabbi Yechiel Erlanger or Tony Hamer. Alternatively, you can arrange for automatic transfers to be made from your checking account, on a monthly basis, into the Fund Account. Letters of Authorization are available from the Rov, Rabbi Yechiel Erlanger and Tony Hamer. The Rov will distribute the funds. Please consider the Aniyei Ircho any time you make a contribution to an out-of-town Charity, and to set aside some of your Tzedaka monies for the needy in our community as well. Thank you very much and Tizku L’Mitzvos.

Mincha at the Mall:

At the University Building Monday thru Thursday 12:45PM.

Pearls of Torah:

Ubyom Hashmini Yimol Besar Orloso” - “On the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumsized.”  (12:3)

At the Bris Milah we declare, “as the (infant) has entered into the Bris, so shall he enter into (the study of) Torah, marriage, and good deeds.”  Horav Mendel, zl, m’Kotzk explains why this is declared specifically at a Bris Milah.  As the infant enters into this lofty mitzvah with equanimity, with no haughtiness regarding his ability to fulfill such a great mitzvah, so, too, should he perform all mitzvos throughout his life with such composure and humility
